The system delivers an increase in power up to 10 percent and a reduction in fuel consumption and emissions up to 10 percent when compared to competitor engines. When mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, the 2012 Fiat 500 averages 30/38 mpg (city/highway) or 33 combined. With a 6-speed automatic it averages 27/34 mpg and 30 combined. Prices for the Fiat 500 will start at $15,500.
